We are looking for highly motivated Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to support our growing demand for commercial & industrial electrical systems. Essential duties of Apprentice Electrician:
- Assist with installing electrical equipment, devices and pulling wire for electrical systems using a variety of tools and techniques
- Assist in gathering materials and tools as directed by crew leader/ Journeyman
- Assist with general site preparation and continuous job-site clean-up
- Take directions from the crew lead
- Perform any trench work
- Maintain constant communication with their crew leader / Journeyman on the status of task completion and be proactive in accomplishing all tasks necessary for the job
- Participate in regular safety practices and learn safety protocols to apply at job-site.
- Able to travel for Inter-island projects.
- Enroll in the company’s sponsored, state-approved Apprenticeship Program.
Apprentice Electrician Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must maintain a clean driving record & possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma/ GED or higher
- Possess basic hand tools
- Able to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white & green
- Strong work ethic
- Construction / electrical experience with a desire to learn
- Use and understanding of NEC codes
- Work well in a small team environment and can take directions
- Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements
- Follow all company operations standards, policies, and processes
- Personal, reliable transportation
- Detail-oriented and take pride in your work
- Ask questions if uncertain
- Pass a pre-employment background check & drug screening
- Able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language.
Essential duties of Journeyman Electrician:
- Install, connect, test, and maintain the electrical system using a variety of tools and techniques
- Proficiently interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, & one-line diagrams
- Assist with planning, execution, and finalizing projects according to plans, specs, & within budget.
- Be familiar with OSHA safety requirements and federal / state regulations as they apply to specific jobs.
- Conduct jobs in accordance with current NFP70 codes and site-specific procedures while following applicable safety procedures.
- Willing and able to travel for Inter-island projects.
Journeyman Electrician Qualifications:
- Active Hawaii Journeyman Electrical license ( apprentices close to obtaining a state license will also be considered)
- Must maintain a clean driving record & possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma/ GED or higher
- 3-5 years in commercial & industrial electrical work
- Possess basic hand tools
- Able to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white & green
- Strong work ethic, self-driven with minimal or no supervision
- Pass a pre-employment background check & drug screening
- Able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language.

Physical Demands / Working conditions:
- Ability to transport materials & equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: extreme heat, wet environments, humidity, extreme cold, and excessive noise.
- Frequent work on ladders, scaffolds, scissor lifts, and man lifts.
